Simon Robson
I hold my father fully responsible for the love and respect that I have for the water. Aged ten, a tatty Cornish-built 27ft sail boat arrived on a trailer towed by a Land Rover.
Aged 13 I was sailing myself around the sheltered harbour of Falmouth in Cornwall and aged 18 gained my 200gt Captains Licence.
Having spent teenage years racing and delivering sail boats around Europe I went to college before swiftly embarking on a decade working on super yachts.
I climbed the ranks from decky to First Officer and Captain, completed multiple transatlantic crossings and also transited the Panama canal. Initially learning but eventually teaching crews how to maintain and operate boats to the highest standards possible.
In Wilmington my dreams of working in the Marine Industry, having my own business and most importantly a family have come true.
I started Tuna’s Marine Services in 2018 to help the residents of Wilmington and the surrounding area with all aspects of boat ownership.
